The Gandy Dancer Trail is located approximately twenty eight miles east of Hinckley Minnesota in Danbury Wisconsin. The trail begins in Danbury WI and then travels north through Minnesota and back into Wisconsin for a total distance of about thirty one miles. The Gandy Dancer Trail offers much to everyone. Such as; Camping, hiking trails, horseback riding trails, and of course, ATV, ORV, and OHM trails. There is approximately 31 miles of trail dedicated to ATV and OHM riding. The upper twenty five miles of the trail north of Cty. Road 25 (Markville) are open to ORV's.

Most of these trails fall into the category of "Easy" as defined by the Minnesota DNR. These trails will take you through the forested uplands of the abandoned railroad grade. This off road adventure will provide riders with a very scenic ride without the difficulties of more advanced trails.

This OHV trail connects with the trails located in the St. Croix and Nemadji State Forests.

Be prepared to see; Coyotes, Timber Wolves, White Tail Deer, Eagles, Grouse, Woodcock, and many other forms of Wildlife.

Please remember, these trails are shared by others. "Tread Lightly" This will ensure a continued future for the sport of ATV Riding. ATV and OHV Trails in Minnesota are under huge debates, please help to protect what the Minnesota DNR has provided for us off road enthusiasts.
