The Nemadji State Forest is located approximately four miles N.E. of the town of Nickerson Minnesota. The Nemadji offers much to everyone. Such as; Camping, hiking trails, horseback riding trails, and of course, ATV and OHM trails. There is approximately 100 miles of trail dedicated to ATV and OHM riding.

Most of these trails fall into the category of "Easy" as defined by the Minnesota DNR. The trails you will discover here will take you through gently rolling uplands to steep stream valleys and elongated swamps.

This adventure will provide riders with a very scenic outing without the difficulties of more advanced trails.

Be prepared to see; Timber Wolves, White Tail Deer, Eagles, and many other forms of Wildlife.

This trail connects with others such as the Willard Munger State Trail, St. Croix State Forest Trails, Gandy Dancer Trail, and The Upper Willow Trails.

Please remember, these trails are shared by others. "Tread Lightly" This will ensure a continued future for the sport of ATV Riding. ATV and OHV Trails in Minnesota are under huge debates, please help to protect what the Minnesota DNR has provided for us off road enthusiasts.

How do I get to the Nemadji State Forest Trails? Follow the directions bellow:

From the Metro Area. Follow I-35 N to Hwy 23 North East. Take Hwy. 23 North East to Nickerson, approximately 1/2 miles past Nickerson take a right on Net Lake Road, follow Net Lake Road 1 1/2 miles east to Net Lake Forest Road and turn right (south), follow Net Lake Forest Road S.E. for approximately 2 miles and your there.
